Rain or shine, the Bike Bus rolls on Friday!
Nothing beats starting the morning on two wheels with friends, no matter the weather.
The North Beach Elementary Bike Bus is organized by parents and runs every Fridays, rain or shine. All are welcome, though families are responsible for determining the safety of the route and whether Bike Bus is suitable for their children.
Ride safety reminders: Keeping everyone safe is THE top priority!
Helmet: Must be worn and fastened properly
Lights: Riders should have a front, solid, white light and a rear facing red light
Bike check: Make sure you've checked the ABCs before we ride: Air in tires, Brakes, Chain.
Riders MUST stay with the group, and behind the ride leader (an adult).
Dress in layers. Gloves are strongly recommended, as little fingers are the first to get cold, and let's embrace the elements.
If any rider needs helmets, lights, or bells, please let me know. We're working on getting several of each from SDOT!
Thursday evenings, charge up your lights, and join us in the Konstella group for the weekly check-in: Questions? Need gear? Information about our group, including a night-before weather report, adult check-in and optional RSVP can be found in the PTA communications app, Konstella. Getting safely to school is the main goal of Bike Bus, but it's also to build a biking community, so please join the Bike Bus group in Konstella to organize rides, to ask questions about routes or events around the city, or share experiences.
Full route map on Felt Bus stops in a few places, but feel free to join where it works for you.
Route start:NW 105th St & Dibble Ave NW
Start time: the bus leaves promptly at 7:20am

Walk, Bike & Roll Day, 2026
Wednesday, October 7th, our school is participating in Walk, Bike & Roll Day! We encourage all students and families who can to leave the car at home - or even a few blocks away - and kick off the morning with an active commute.
Bike Bus: We'll have a special mid-week bike bus. We'll follow our normal timing and route, just on a Wednesday! (no school this Friday.)
Coffee, Snacks, Celebration: Join us for coffee and light snacks at the South end school gate before the bell.
However you move, we can't wait to celebrate Walk, Bike & Roll Day together on Wednesday!
*Families are responsible for determining the safety of the route and whether Bike Bus is suitable for their children.
