Thanks to funding from the PTA, I’m able to work with students and families at North Beach three days a week, providing supplemental SEL lessons in all classrooms, as well as individual and small group counseling. It also allows me to consult with and share resources with families and staff.
— Alyssa Reid, school counselor
“Since the school district no longer funds the Kindergarten Jump Start program, the PTA has stepped in to make sure this important opportunity for families continues. It gives teachers and students the chance to interact with each other, learn about the classroom and ease the transition into elementary school.”
— Heather Coutts, kindergarten teacher
The first grade and kindergarten teachers were able to purchase a phoenemic awareness curriculum that will really help our early learners get a good foundation to reading, thanks to donations made to the PTA.
