North Beach loves the Sock Hop! We transform the gym back to the 1950's where parents and kids twist to songs from the fifties. Get your poodle skirts ready, your bobby socks on your dancin' feet and have some fun.

Friendly Reminder: ALL children must be accompanied by an adult

Get ready for:

• food
• Dancing Contests
• Karaoke
• and the Cake Walk

Admission to the event:

• $2 child
• $4 adult
• $10 Family

Our Sock Hop features the Cake Walk

Love to Bake? The Sock Hop is home to the Cake Walk - an all school cake decorating contest which generates funds for the 5th Grade Camp.

Sock hop attendees can purchase tickets to participate in the cake walk and win a cake of their choosing.

To enter, bring your cake to school on friday morning, judging happens during the day. All participating cakes are prizes during the cake walk that night.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 cakes in 3 categories:

• cake created by a student
• cake created by a parent and student
• cake created by a student team

Notes:

• cakes can be of any theme
• NB Staff will do the judging
• All cakes must be turned in by 10am on Feb 5th 2010
