North Beach Garden News
Coordinator: Karen Kazanjian
Last June the Kindergartners planted the school garden! They planted corn, summer and winter squash, tomatoes, chard, green beans and sunflowers. It was watered over the summer by North Beach families and did great!
In September, the now first graders toured the garden and harvested. They had a great time talking about sunflowers, corn, different squashes and even a cool bug that they found. Now, the garden is split up by classrooms for teachers that want a classroom garden.
Keep visiting the garden this year!

Do you have any extra gardening supplies you don't need? Some of the things we need for the school garden are: small hand shovels, small cultivators (forks), kid gloves, watering cans, buckets, old seed etc. If you do please drop them off in the front lobby. Thanks !
