Music On Wheels

Open to K - 5th Graders
Thursdays 3:30 - 5:30 PM – Dates 4/15 to 6/17

Music Lessons on Wheels is back at North Beach, bringing another year of fun-packed piano adventures to children ages 6 and up. We teach the majority of our students in pairs, giving them an opportunity to learn and grow with their peers. Your child will learn the cool basics of music AND, if they stick with it for a bit, we'll even teach em duets! Each child will receive a 30-minute "twinned" lesson at a regularly scheduled time. Because each lesson is tailored to an individual child's needs, students progress at their own rate. In the springtime, we will give a performance for those who are interested in sharing the pieces they have learned, and in some cases, composed.
Tuition: 10 half hour twinned lessons/$197.50; piano books available for $10 for at-home playing.
*Private lessons can be arranged for very young or older, advancing students.
Registration or questions? Visit our website at www.MusicLessonsOnWheels.com , phone Jeanne at 206-818-4780 or email to MusicLessonsOnWheels@gmail.com.

Speed Stacking Club

Open to 1st - 5th Grade *Choose which day works best for your family*
Mondays 3:25 - 4.30 PM – Dates 4/12 to 6/7
Thursdays 3:25 - 4:30 PM – Dates 4/15 to 6/3

Cup Stacking is an individual and team sport that involves stacking specialized cups in specific sequences, competing against the clock or other players. Sequences are usually pyramids of three, six, or ten cups. The sport teaches cooperation, ambidexterity, reaction time and hand-eye coordination to name a few. The skills learned while cup stacking transfer over into the classroom in many ways. It helps students develop bilateral proficiency--equal performance on both sides of the body. By increasing bilateral proficiency, a student develops a greater percentage of the right side of the brain, which houses awareness, focus, creativity and rhythm. Stacking helps train the brain for sports and other activities where the use of both hands is important, such as playing a musical instrument or using the computer. Sequencing and patterning are also elements of sport stacking, which can help with reading and math skills… plus it’s just FUN!
Tuition: $40.00
